In her first album release, 'All The Good Things'   (Tenterhook Records), Ruth has written nine songs full of warmth and soulful simlicity. Her sound has an understated funkiness and her songs manage to sound retro and refreshingly modern at the same time. Her inspiration is drawn from the master songwriters: Sting, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan and James Taylor to name a few.

Ruth has worked extensively, playing saxophone, with the internationally successful pop group 'Morcheeba', touring with them and recording on their latest album 'Charango'.

Ruth is currently working as a keyboard player for the band 'Ilya', who are signed to Virgin and have just released their debut album "They Died For Beauty".  Ruth also plays the funky Hammond organ with The Forster-Hammond Trio (who are featured on the new Acid Jazz release ‘Hammond Street’), and has just formed her own jazz trio.

Ruth has appeared on TV’s ‘Later – with Jools Holland’, played a weeklong residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club (London, UK) and was interviewed on Radio 4’s “Woman’s Hour” as a representative of up and coming female musicians.
