Profile: You can't outplay Gary in any department other than knocking in more balls and scoring more points. It's as simple as that. Gary won the third BMSA championship and was a runner up in the first two.

Andrew Colman

Place of Birth: Bristol
Profile: Andrew grew up playing snooker with his brother Mat (current BMSA champ) on their 3/4 size table. It's still too early to say what Andrew is capable of in the tournament arena.

Hannah Merriden Colman

Place of Birth: Weston-Super-Mare
Profile: An early introduction to snooker by her father on their full size table at home gave her a great head start to the game. Now enjoying motherhood for the first time, I look forward to seeing Hannah compete at the tournament table.

Mat Colman

Place of Birth: Bristol
Profile: Very laid back on and off the table. If there is anybody who does not seem to have any nerves, it's him. On the outside nothing seems to affect him. This is why Mat is currently the BMSA Champion, and not for the first time either.

James Forster

Profile: He is a clever tactical player with bags of concentration. Nobody talks about him having a bad period, he's always in with a chance and is a big heavyweight in the game.

Scott Hammond

Profile: Scott did reasonably well in the last tournament but he was lucky enough to avoid the big name players until the semi-final.

Jonny Henderson

Place of Birth: Swindon
Profile: Jonny enjoys himself off the table and doesn't take the game so seriously that it takes over his life. That said, he could be a star of the future - watch this space...

Matt Jones
Date of Birth: 22.3.80
Place of Birth: Southampton
Profile: As a youngster, Matt was a demon on his four-foot snooker table. However, being a short man he may have to raise his game (pardon the pun) on the full size table if he is to be a serious competitor on the tournament circuit.

Phil King
Date of Birth: 21.2.78
Place of Birth: Kingston, Surrey
Profile: Phil's a very competitive person and that gave him the edge that took him to the final of the third chapionship. Phil loves the challenge and doesn't fall over easily.

Pete Lloyd
Date of Birth: 10.1.81
Place of Birth: Rochdale
Profile: Pete's vibrant personality and playing style will inevitably make him a crowd favourite at the BMSA. His game is fast improving and I have no doubts he will be climbing the rankings ladder before you can say "Pete who?".

Jason Newman

Place of Birth: St Austell, Cornwall
Profile: They say there are not any characters left in the game but I think you only have to look as far as Jason to see that is incorrect. He takes the most dangerous shots of all the players - he's a real livewire.

Profile: Andrew is a newcomer to the BMSA and I wish him a very warm welcome. I look forward to seeing him compete at the table soon.

Profile: A newcomer to the game with heaps of talent. In the nicest possible sense - an animal of a player. Naturally gifted and never really bothers to study the technique of the game. Players don't want to come across him as he is the sort of person that can upset the apple cart.
